Who we are?

Restaurant the Sandplover is owned and managed by Hannah Sidibeh. For several years Hannah has been working with Gambia River Excursions and she knows the tourist sector very well. For years her restaurant has been a favorite meeting place for expats living in the Gambia and now she wants to get her restaurant known to the outside world.

Where we are?

Restaurant the Sandplover is situated on the beach along the old road that connects Cape Point (Bakau) with Banjul. By foot you can easily walk there from the Cape Point Hotel area. You just follow the beach heading towards Banjul and after 500 meters you will meet a wooden building on stelts in the midst of the mangroves.

What we offer?

We offer a whole range of sea food specialities (fresh from the sea!), as well as meat dishes. All at very reasonable prices ranging from 60 to 120 dalasis (1,7 euro – 3,5 euro).
